Digital to real life skirt by Nathalie van der Ark

For this one. I wanted to try something very different.
I've been the seamstress of my own wardrobe for a while and was wondering how those skills would transfer over to digital... and back. I made the pattern in marvelous designer using my own measurements then drafted a real life pattern from the pattern made in marvelous designer. For this pattern I measured out the pattern by hand. Using a serger and sewing machine I assembled the real life version. The digital version was rendered in marmoset toolbag, texture made in substance designer.
This has been really fun to try and I will keep using this way of working. Ive been meaning to make this skirt for a while but the amount of fabric (about 7.5 meters) made it difficult to drape it in real life due to lack of space. Using marvelous I was able to find a way around that by draping digitally
This has been an incredibly fun project to work on, im excited to keep exploring this!
